Article 1 - The most popular Christmas trends of 2023

Christmas trend 1. Mountain Lodge: warm winter

Let's start with the trend that will probably be the most popular again this year: the winter style! Every year there is a Christmas trend in which white and blue, snow & ice are central. Fortunately, the trend is a little different every year. This year the winter Christmas trend is a bit warmer! In 2019 we mainly saw a lot of white and blue tones, a very cool whole. For 2022 it can all be a little softer and friendlier. This new Christmas trend is called Mountain Lodge and that is exactly the atmosphere it radiates: a beautiful, luxurious mountain cabin in the mountains. In the middle of a beautiful ski area.

Christmas trend 2. Nature's Gift: romantic rural

The second Christmas trend in the list of Christmas trends 2022 is very innovative! It is a romantic, rural theme with many gray tones. A feeling of frozen nature, but combined with misty gray and two soft pastel shades. There are some subtle green accents here and there. And to top it off some dark red, mustard yellow and subtle champagne gold for the festive sparkle.

In this theme there is also plenty of room for the super popular dried flower trend. We will be seeing a lot more of that this fall. Plants should also not be missed.

Christmas trend 3. Wonderful Time: cozy & traditional

Traditional white, green, silver and Christmas red: it's just part of it. You can therefore not really call this theme a trend. Although the traditional style is definitely subject to developments! This year we see the innovation in the soft transition from soft terra (brown red) to the typical Christmas red and a cheerful, fresh color green. Perhaps you remember that last year there was a slightly more American touch in the mix? This year we are going a bit more in the Scandinavian direction. Think of a red-painted Swedish plank house in a wooded, snowy environment.

Christmas Trend 4. Christmas Eve – Christmas at a French Wine Estate

We will stay in the traditional spheres for a while, but now we opt for super classic. The palette for Christmas 2022 includes the colors pearl white, light gold, Christmas red, oxblood red, winter sky and pine green. Can it be classic? This time, the classic Christmas trend pays tribute to the world of wine!

Christmas trend 5. Wild Glam – animal prints & warmth

The fifth Christmas trend for 2022 is called 'Wild Glam'. This theme is really very different from the rest. It's warm, luxurious and glamorous (as the theme's name suggests). This style is inspired by a luxury boutique hotel that is beautifully decorated with warm tones (such as soft terra, camel brown and dark brown). And lots of hip animal prints. And further: exotic branches and tropical flowers, decorated glass balls, various animals and beautiful basketry.

Christmas trend 6. Pink Forest – Fairytale inthe forest

The natural theme is completely different this year. Pink Forest is therefore a fairytale trend that takes place in the forest, with a lot of room for fantasy and imagination. The colors in the palette are: oxblood red, velvet pink, blush pink, mother-of-pearl and – one of my new favorites – sage green.
